This Week’s Topic: Worldbuilding

I love fantasy.

I think that might be an understatement.

However, I always struggle when I try to write fantasy. Since I’m trying to break out of my unproductive funk and actually finish this manuscript, I’m going to try to identify and reason out the problems I’m having–and hopefully avoid a story crisis.

And make something for lunch.

For the rest of this week, I am going to be looking into problems I have with worldbuilding. However, I shall not tackle that today. Because I am hungry. Also becauseĀ I have things to do, like my sketch of the day, playing with watercolors, working on my story…nothing important.

Tomorrow I will be talking about drawing inspiration for fantasy from existing cultures and mythology…particularly, the Aztecs!

Cheers!

The Gift of Creation

Well, I’ve finally done it. I’ve started a blog. Hooray for me!

On this blog, I will be talking about my creative processes and struggles as I grow in the image of my Creator. I believe that one of the gifts humans were bestowed with when God made them in His image was the gift of creation; here, on this blog, I will document my developement of this gift.

I will try not to write about me. After all, who wants to read about me? Instead, I plan to write about what God is teaching me through writing, art, creation, and His Word.

As an unfortunately necessary side note, please do not steal any of my ideas or artwork. They are my own, and thus are automatically copyrighted as my property.

Thank you for not cyber-punching me in the face for that.

Cheers!
